Funding and carbon reduction
With the growing demand and emphasis on green sustainable technologies, installing heat pumps, biomass boilers, solar PV and solar thermal has become more financially viable thanks to the Renewable Heat Incentive and the availability of tailored finance packages.
Not only are we able to advise on the most suitable technology for the application but also guide you through the process of applying for funding or finance options to maximize the financial returns and long term carbon reduction of the scheme.
Renewable Heat Incentive (RHI)
The Domestic Renewable Heat Incentive (Domestic RHI) is a government financial incentive to promote the use of renewable heat. Switching to heating systems that use naturally replenished energy can help the UK reduce its carbon emissions.
People who join the scheme and stick to its rules, receive quarterly payments for seven years for the amount of clean, green renewable heat their system produces.
The scheme’s open to anyone who can meet the joining requirements. It’s for households both off and on the gas grid. People off mains gas (oil & LPG) have the greatest potential to save on fuel bills and reduce carbon emissions.
A typical 3 Bedroom house built in the 1970’s would receive approximately £5000 for Air source heat pumps and £12,000 for Ground source heat pumps paid over 7 years.
